The Backyard BOB started as a dream to open a small pizza-based catering business focusing on small, private events at times in someone’s backyard. As the idea began to grow, it evolved into The Backyard BOB. ​

The Backyard BOB is truly a neighborhood Brick Oven Bistro. The base of operations, and where the majority of the prepping will occur, is the concession kitchen space at the Woodcliffe Park Pool and Clubhouse in Boyds, MD. The real cooking however happens in a brand new, fully customized mobile trailer with a 9 square foot brick oven.

The menu will focus on pizzas, paninis, subs, salads and more.

The Backyard BOB mobile trailer will be available for neighborhood events, private gatherings, corporate events, farmers’ markets, brewery & winery functions and the list goes on.

About The Owner

I was born and raised in Montgomery County Maryland and attended the University of Maryland. Go Terps! Almost every job I have had since the10th grade has been associated with the foodservice industry and I have always enjoyed cooking for friends and family. For the last few years, I have kicked around a few ideas to start a small business on my own. Thank you to those that have listened to some of my ideas and not discouraged me from following a passion that was growing inside me. I started focusing on my obsession with great pizza and thinking about how I could share my love for a fresh dough, tasty sauce and great cheese concoction with others. That is how The Backyard BOB came to be. I hope you will enjoy what I am creating and I hope that you are also able to follow your passion.
